During a Director’s Talk event held on April 15 for the newly launched spin-off Resident Playbook, creators Shin Won-ho and Lee Min-soo spoke candidly about the show’s future, and that of its predecessor.

Addressing the lingering question on many fans’ minds, Shin Won-ho said, “I gave a similar answer during ‘Hospital Playlist.’ It really all depends on the viewers. If we receive enough feedback, whether through numbers or overall response, we’ll consider it.”

With a laugh, he added, “I’m still feeling the pressure about ‘Hospital Playlist’ Season 3. Both the actors and the viewers are constantly pressing me. If we do end up making it, it’ll probably be because of that stress.” His lighthearted response nevertheless sparked excitement among fans eager for the return of the iconic Yulje Medical crew.

Shin also discussed the future of Resident Playbook, stating, “If viewers tell us to make another season, that’s when we’ll start seriously thinking about it.”

The new series, which centers on a group of OB-GYN residents navigating their early careers, premiered on April 12. Airing every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 p.m. KST, “Resident Playbook” has already made a strong impression, especially thanks to its nostalgic cameo in the April 13 episode.
